Wags to Riches

This necklace was commissioned for a woman who ran a thrift shop that benefitted shelter animals.  It can be worn as one continuous piece, or as individual pendants.  It is made of silver and found objects, as well as a Glow-in-the-Dark dog, which is in the pendant.

I wanted to make a piece that had the “lost and found” feel of an animal shelter; the cat, acting like a wild cat on her ring, and the horse, ready to buck and rock on his spring, are already celebrating their freedom. Meanwhile, the lost dog who’s still in the heart cage might find a new home soon.  But wait!  Is he the Ghost of Lost and Found Dogs from the Past?

This necklace is made of found components from my collection of Excellent Junk.
